DESCRIPTION

The Zoom iQ5 in black is a small mid-side stereo condenser mic for iOS devices with lightning connectors. It records high-quality 44.1kHz/16-bit audio that's compatible with Zoom's iQ6 Stereo X/Y Microphone changes your iOS device with Lightning connector into a portable recorder. It captures sounds from concerts, interviews, meetings, lectures and other events, at a maximum of 16-bit/48kHz quality. The microphone has the same two high-quality unidirectional condenser mics as the well-known H4n recorder.

This allows your recordings to cover a large area, while still picking up sound sources in the middle and .You can set the X/Y microphones at two different angles. A 90-degree angle gives a focused image, while a 120-degree angle provides a more immersive wide-angle stereo. You can adjust the input gain using the big mic gain wheel on the front of the unit. To check your levels, you can use the 3-segment LED. The iQ6 also has its own 3.5mm headphone jack. This lets you listen during both recording and playback. You can also use the headphone output as a line out to make a backup recording if you want to.mono playback.

You can turn the iQ5's capsule, so it works upright or sideways with your iOS gadget. This means you can shoot video with your device in normal or landscape mode, and the mic will still record the audio with the right left-right stereo setup.
